Ms. Michelle Link
Deputy CPE Ground (Combat Platforms)
Ms. Michelle Link currently serves as the Deputy for Capability Program Executive (CPE) Ground (Combat Platforms). In this role, she provides professional and executive management of the devlopment of systems integration, acquisition, testing, fielding, sustainment, and overall improvement of ground combat systems in accordance with the Army’s transformation campaign plan. The Ground Combat Systems Program has an annual budget of over $3.0 billion, and a total program cost of over $52.6 billion across a complex and diverse organization with six ACAT I programs, an ACAT II program and an ACAT III program. Ms. Link previously served as the Deputy Program Executive Officer for PEO GCS. PEO GCS Assistant Program Executive Officer (APEO) Logistics, PEO GCS Lead Systems Engineer, and the Director of the Robot Logistics Support Center in addition to 18 years in the automotive industry. Ms. Link originates from Detroit, Michigan.
Ms. Link graduated from Michigan State University, with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and was commissioned as an Engineer Officer in the United States Army Reserve. She earned a Master of Science degree with Distinction in Engineering Management, Manufacture and Design from the University of Hertfordshire, England and a Master of Strategic Studies from the Army War College. She is a member of the Army Acquisition Corps, Lean Six Sigma Blackbelt and DAWIA level III certified in both Logistics and Engineering. In addition to her civilian service, Ms. Link is a Major General in the United States Army Reserves where she is currently serving as the Commanding General of the 75th United States Army Reserve Innovation Command. She previously served as the Deputy Commander of Joint Task Force Red Hill with responsibility for de-fueling the Red Hill Bulk Fuel Storage Facility and as the principal military advisor to the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Logistics, on matters pertaining to Operational Contract Support, Supply Chain Risk Management, Vendor Threat Mitigation, and Private Security Contractors. As an Army Officer, she has served in a variety of command and staff positions over her career including: Commander, 478th Engineer Battalion, Commander 372nd Engineer Brigade, and Deputy Chief of Staff G3, Chief of Staff, and Deputy Commanding General of the 416th Theater Engineer Command.
